3 simple requirements of a successful article.
Now that you have decided to live a life sleeping on your keyboard, you must also know that article distribution is one of the things which you must perfect. You already know that article distribution brings you the required one way links and more importantly, a boost in your stats hit counter! This article deals in, "How to get the most of your articles!"

The most important part of the articles is the content of the article. The better the article, the more it gets distributed and picked by other webmasters. To ensure that the quality of your article is upto the mark you must first forget that you are writing this article to "distribute" it instead write as if you are going to "publish" this on your own website. This way you will not insert links here and there where they are not required. I will show how you can carefully plant a link without offending anyone later in this article. So let's start!!!

An article is divided into 3 sections namely:
* Heading,
* The body,
* and the resource box.
Let's discuss each of them one by one.

1.) the heading or the title of the article. This is more important than you think it is because when readers search article directories for articles to reprint, they often have just this title displayed in results and it is this line which will be the judging factor, whether your article is read or skipped. A simple change in this heading can bring you double redability. Example:

* "Tips for SEO"
* "Proven tacts for SEO"

Don't know about you, but I will read the second one skipping the first and depending on the content of the article, may be even reprint giving you a link!
If your article is a "HOW TO" article where you are explaining a process, then you can say:

* 5 steps to..( whatever it is)
* Easy way to ...( whatever it is)
* ( google indexing ) now even simpler
and so on.

If your article deals in explaining "facts" about something in your nitch, then you can use:

* Now proven that ( whatever it is)
* Surprising ( whatever it is)
* Amazingly ( google shows keyword positioning for your site now)

and similar changes. The point is to make the heading interesting enough for the reader to click it and read the article. Whether he reads it or hits the back button depends on the below...

2.) The first paragraph of your article. When looking for a reprintable article I am always in a hurry to find something qualitative. If the first paragraph of your article is not good enough to capture the interest, then probably the rest is not good enough for my "visitors". Starting a article with a humorous line is the best way to go but it doesn't work all the time especially if you are about to discuss a very serious topic like cancer may be... Well here you can start by pointing at a problem! Example:

* It's depressing to see how ...( the problem). Here I have collected ...( the solution you are discussing in the article).

In the above approach make sure you provide a summarry of the solution so the reader knows that the rest of this article is a "help" and worth reading. Then of course comes your main body of the article.

By now you have successfully managed to get the desired attention from your reader and now it's time to bring them to your website. What? Did you completely forget that? Let's start planting links! Be careful, you don't want to offend the person who will accept your article in his article directory which he manages with a lot of hard work...

This could be best explained using an example. Your article discusses about the 3 most important meta tags which are still used by Yahoo and MSn.

Meta description: Explain it here.
Meta Keywords: explain it here.
Meta robots: Explain it here.
( Then add the following:)
You can also use the service ( link here) in case you have many pages and don't want to do it yourself.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not your resource box and the link is within the main body of the article. The article continues from here discussing some other meta tags which are not as used but are "Worth mentioning".

Meta Copyright: Explain it here.
Meta title: Explain it here.
Meta language: explain it here.
By the way a meta tag tutorial is available at www.website-design-software-india.com

Now it's time to close your article and add a resource box making sure that the reader visits your site. The closing depends on what you have been discussing in the article. Sometimes you can close by simply wishing good luck, while other times you might want to provide a little information about the second part of this article which is available at "your website". Or point out some other related problems, solutions to which would be useful for the reader's current problem also. Like if you have discussing meta tags, the reader might also be interested in a Keyword density counting tool!

The second approach has proven to be more successful where you provide a good resource to your reader and invite them to use it. You can place a link here if you have not already done so in the above body. Don't stuff the article with links to your site if you don't really have something useful. Then we will let the resource box talk!

3.) Resource box: This is where you will see the most funny messages like:

* "Any reproduction of this article must have a live link to...", As if this text is going to bring you a visitor. Instead use:

* "Copy paste html available at..."

But even that's not going to do the work all the time. May be if a webmaster is reading it, but what if someone recovering a cancer treatement is? The key is to think of what problems your reader is sufferring from and then present them a solution on your website. A simple list of "nourishing" fruits is a useful information for a "recovering cancer patient". Of course, if you can really provide them something very useful then you get word of mouth references from them bringing you more visitors later.

Now your article has the following:
* A catchy heading,
* An informative and resourseful body,
* A solution presenting resourse box.
Do you have a hit counter? if not get one!!!
